BEST PARKS/PLACES TO TAKE A HIKE OR WALK
Beth Lytle Smith: For kids, Wegerzyn Gardens in Dayton (Five Rivers Metroparks). For adults, Aullwood is magnificent, especially in the spring!
Bruce Stambaugh: The Holmes Co. Rails to Trails is an excellent place to bike, hike, bird and enjoy the scenery all at the same time.
Elisabeth Barnhardt Mills: Have you ever featured Fort Amanda? It used to be a State Park, but may have lost that status. Please do look in to it, regardless!
Karissa Cooper: Best parks for a family history trip is the Newark Earthworks featuring the Great Circle Mound and a free museum or Flint Ridge State Park, also with a museum built around a huge flint pit right in the middle of it! Both in Licking County. Both great for hiking, picnicking and learning about the past!
Jenny Koester: Ault Park in Cincinnati — great history and a wonderful garden lawn cared for and designed by the Adopt-a-Plot gardeners. We were also featured on Think TV this season!!
Dean Shultz: with Summit Metro Park system and Cuyahoga National Park, we have so many parks near us. I would say, why choose just one? Visit them all! I am looking forward to some snow shoeing the Barberton/Clinton trails and learning cross country skiing at Virginia Kendall
